A practical survey guide for CinchBucks members
Learn why survey matches vary, how to complete surveys carefully, and what to do when a survey ends early or is not a match.
Surveys help research partners gather opinions from specific groups of people. A survey invitation is not a promise of completion or credit: each project needs a particular mix of respondents and can close when its quota is met. The best approach is to answer honestly, follow the instructions, and keep expectations realistic.
Why you may be screened out
A survey may ask qualifying questions before the main questionnaire. This lets the research partner find participants who match the study. Being screened out is a normal outcome and does not mean there is a problem with your CinchBucks account.
Survey inventory can change quickly. A survey that appears in the morning may be full later in the day, and another may become available after the partner opens a new audience segment.
Give consistent, honest answers
Read questions carefully and answer based on your real situation. Deliberately inconsistent answers, automated responses, or selecting random answers can cause a survey partner to end the session or invalidate the response. It can also reduce access to future research opportunities.
Do not create additional accounts or provide personal information beyond what is necessary for the survey. If a question makes you uncomfortable, review the survey provider’s policies or leave the activity rather than inventing an answer.
Avoid technical interruptions
Use a stable connection, keep the survey open in its original tab, and avoid changing devices during a session. Browser extensions, private browsing, proxies, or VPNs can interfere with a provider’s ability to validate a response.
If a technical error occurs, save the survey name and the error message if one is shown. A screenshot can help describe the issue, but make sure it does not expose personal information before uploading it to Support.
Keep your profile current
A current profile helps the platform present opportunities that are more relevant to you. Update profile details when they change, but do not alter them simply to try to qualify for a particular study. Eligibility is determined by the research partner.
Your available surveys, completion outcome, and credited amount can differ from another member’s. Treat every activity’s displayed terms as the source of truth for that activity.
